Well put. I would have to slightly disagree, I think it is pretty awesome, but I always enjoy a good carmilla reference. And the subtle reference in this one doesn't leave anyone less entertained if they don't know the history. The good acting and great production is also a plus.

First off, you have to ask yourself, "why are you here?"

If you're here because you like movies and the movies are free, you may or may not like this movie.

If you're here because, like me, you're a fan of old 70s B- grade movies (now often referred to "grindhouse" films, even if they weren't necessarily played in grindhouse theaters), I almost guarantee you'll like this movie.

It's all here, all the things you're looking for. The gothic, lavish scenery, the blood, the violence... and, of course, the tits! Hell, they even threw in a hairy bush or two!

I'm not a fan of lesbian overtones, and this film explores the lesbian element of the Carmilla myth without undue screen time to it, which other views may or may not see as a plus (it is for me).

All in all, a pretty good vampire flick in the 70s tradition. It's not awesome, and I don't care to own it, but an ok way to waste two hours, and the price is certainly right.
